A monument to Mykola Mozhovyi installed near the Palace of Arts 'Ukraine'
People's artist, singer Oksana Bilozir decided to install a monument to Mykola Mozhovyi near the service entrance of the Palace of Arts 'Ukraine'. This was announced by his daughter, Olena Mozhova, at a concert dedicated to the people's artist.
The evening in memory of Mozhovyi took place at the Palace 'Ukraine' on November 16. Famous artists performed the best songs of the composer in new arrangements. In total, the show featured 30 numbers with live orchestra and choreographic accompaniment.
Oksana Bilozir, who has already participated in the memorial evening of Mozhovyi, sang his hit 'Two Eagles'.
Mykola Mozhovyi was the founder and head of the jury of two international television festivals. Since 1999, he was also the head of the department of theory and methods of voice training at the Institute of Arts of the National Pedagogical University named after Dragomanov.
The monument to Mykola Mozhovyi was opened on September 1, 2017, near the service entrance of the Palace of Arts 'Ukraine'. The initiative to open the monument belonged to the artist's daughter, Olena Mozhova. She revealed that the bronze monument was 'born' over the course of seven years.
