Donald Trump explained his decision regarding arms supplies to Ukraine, pointing to Vladimir Putin's attitude towards people. He stated that the Russian leader 'does not respect human life' and this is what prompted the U.S. to support Ukraine.

He emphasized that he personally supported this decision, noting that Putin does not respect life, even that of his own soldiers. He also mentioned that new tough sanctions against Russia are being considered in the U.S.
When asked about his own actions towards Putin, Trump left the answer in the air, instead promising a 'little surprise'.
Earlier, Trump provided Putin with a report from the President of Ukraine about the continuation of aid. No response has yet been given by Putin's press secretary.
Ukraine received support from the U.S. due to the Kremlin's attitude towards people, Trump emphasized. He also highlighted the possibility of new sanctions against Russia, without revealing his plans regarding Putin.
