The Russian government is actively considering the possibility of halting gasoline exports due to a sharp rise in fuel prices. According to the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service, exchange prices for fuel have skyrocketed.

Gasoline Prices Surge: A-I-95 Rises by 11%, A-I-92 by 12%

In June of this year, the price of A-I-95 gasoline increased by 11%, while the price of A-I-92 gasoline rose even by 12%. Since the beginning of the year, fuel prices have already increased by more than 25%, which has significantly affected consumers.

'The possibility of expanding existing restrictions is being considered – from traders and oil depots to producers, including key players such as 'Rosneft'. At the same Time, the government is considering reducing compensation for oil companies through a damping mechanism aimed at curbing the rise in domestic fuel prices,' the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service reported.

Even with falling global oil prices, the export of petroleum products is an important source of foreign currency income for Russia. However, a complete halt of gasoline exports could complicate the financial situation in the industry and not lead to a quick decrease in prices in the domestic fuel market.

The Russian government is considering stopping gasoline exports due to a sharp increase in fuel prices. According to intelligence, in June of this year, gasoline prices have already risen significantly. If this decision is made, it could significantly impact the fuel market situation in Russia.
