Czechia has launched an investigation into the illegal transportation of drones to Ukraine.

Czech Defense Minister Jana Černochová stated that law enforcement agencies are investigating suspicions related to the illegal transport of drones to Ukraine. She made this remark during a discussion program on CNN Prima News. This concerns the Nemesis project organized by the Skupina D association. Representatives of the opposition ANO party expressed their intention to discuss this issue in the Chamber of Deputies. The criminal proceedings relate to the army's cooperation with Skupina D. Currently, the investigation focuses on 'possible unauthorized handling of Ministry of Defense property and possible use of military personnel outside the armed forces' tasks.
'All suspicions are currently being investigated by law enforcement agencies, and I am glad about this because only in this way will we receive either absolution or a verdict, regardless of whether a violation occurred or not,' Černochová said.
'The accusations are, of course, serious,' the minister added, emphasizing that she cannot ignore them. Last year, the minister already reported that the Military Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense is examining this matter. According to her, the military police is currently investigating the case.
Černochová stated that she does not pressure the police or the inspectorate but must verify the information she received from Deputy Ružička. She also emphasized the need to adhere to the law and procedures and denied any accusations of restrictions in aiding Ukraine.
Černochová expressed discontent that one of the founders of the Nemesis association holds a diplomatic passport. She also mentioned that she wants to address President Pavel regarding the commander of the 601st group. Earlier, she had already voiced her concerns about the involvement of the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Republic in the Nemesis initiative. Within this initiative, more than 203 million crowns have been collected to purchase drones for Ukraine.
