Partners are discussing two scenarios for the deployment of military contingents in Ukraine. The difference lies in the number of troops that will be sent. This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. His words were spread by the Main Command referencing RBC-Ukraine. Zelensky stated that the most important security guarantee is a strong Ukrainian army. However, two strategies for the deployment of Western troops in Ukraine are also being discussed. One of them involves a larger number of troops, but without guarantees of security from the USA. Involving a smaller number of troops with the addition of guarantees akin to NATO's fifth article is another strategy. Zelensky also reported that US President Donald Trump assured him that the deal regarding subsoil resources is a guarantee of Ukraine's security. It should be reminded that Zelensky is confident that European countries will continue to support Ukraine in the fight against the Russian Federation after the USA exits the negotiation process. The USA is not imposing new sanctions against Russia, as they believe it is necessary to talk to both sides of the conflict. This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. US Vice President Jay D. Vance stated that the process of ending the war in Ukraine has stalled, and he doubts that the war can end anytime soon. The USA has appointed a new Temporary Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine - Julia Davis. US State Department spokeswoman Tami Bruce stated that the USA no longer intends to act as a mediator in negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
