Frost will strike after the rains: meteorologists named the date and regions.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has published the weather forecast for May 7, which predicts unstable and varied weather conditions across the country.

According to meteorologists, atmospheric pressure will fluctuate: at night it will mostly decrease, while during the day it will rise, especially noticeable in the west and north of Ukraine.

Cloudy weather with clearings is expected. Most regions anticipate brief showers, while thunderstorms are possible in the south and southeast of the country. Only the Azov region, Crimea at night, and some western and northern provinces during the day will remain without precipitation.

The wind will be mainly northeast, while in the southern and eastern coastal areas it will be southwest, with a speed of 5-10 meters per second.

The temperature regime will vary in different regions. In the western, northern, and Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions, the nighttime temperature will be 4-9° and daytime will be 13-18°. In other parts of the country, nights are expected to be 8-13°, days 17-22°, and in the southeast it may rise to 25°.

Residents of Kyiv region and the capital are forecasted to have cloudy weather with clearings. A brief rain is expected at night, which will stop by morning, and it will be dry during the day. The wind will be northeast at 5-10 m/s. The air temperature at night will range from 4 to 9° Celsius, during the day from 13 to 18°. In Kyiv, nights are expected to be 7-9°, days 15-17°.

The Hydrometeorological Center also warns of a dangerous meteorological phenomenon: at night on May 8, frosts of 0-3° are expected on the surface of the soil in the western (except Zakarpattia) and northern regions. The warning is classified as the first level of danger (yellow).
