Zahharova staged a hysteria due to the exclusion of Russia from the Hockey World Championship.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova condemned the exclusion of Russia from the Hockey World Championship and accused the International Ice Hockey Federation of Russophobia. Zakharova stated that the decision regarding Russia is politicized, cowardly, and violates the principles of sports. At the same Time, she did not provide any facts to back up her claims.
Earlier, the International Ice Hockey Federation decided not to allow the Russian national team to participate in the 2026 World Championship.
The International Canoe Federation will also review the status of Russian slalom athlete Alsu Minazova following a request from Ukrainian journalist Artem Khudoleev.
Larisa Zalinska, who served in the National Guard of Ukraine, left the country and is currently in Russia. She stated that she is Russian by nationality and has always been Russian-speaking. Zalinska also shared her journey to Moscow and noted that she does not consider it an escape, but a return to her homeland.
