The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated information about the losses of Russian occupiers as of the morning of September 17, 2024.
Russian losses in the war as of September 17, 2024
As of September 17, Russia has lost the following in the war with Ukraine:
- personnel - approximately 635880 (+1020) people,
- tanks - 8685 (+2) units,
- armored combat vehicles - 17077 (+6) units,
- artillery systems - 18129 (+6) units,
- MLRS - 1188 (+1) units,
- air defense systems - 947 (+0) units,
- aircraft - 369 (+0) units,
- helicopters - 328 (+0) units,
- operational-tactical UAVs - 15329 (+66),
- cruise missiles - 2592 (+0) units,
- ships/boats - 28 (+0) units,
- submarines - 1 (+0) units,
- motor vehicles and fuel tanks - 24739 (+27) units,
- special equipment - 3091 (+1).
The data is being updated.
Activities of the occupier's fleet as of September 17
- In the Black Sea, one enemy ship, which is a carrier of "Kalibr" cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to four missiles.
- In the Sea of Azov, there are no enemy ships.
- In the Mediterranean Sea, five enemy ships, four of which are carriers of "Kalibr" cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 32 missiles.
During the day, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait in the interests of Russia:
- to the Black Sea - seven vessels, five of which continued towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov - seven vessels, one of which was moving from the Bosphorus Strait.
Russia continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1974, by turning off automatic identification systems (AIS).
Currently, it is the 937th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
