Ukraine Facility is becoming closer: Ukraine has met new requirements.

The government has approved strategies for reforming psychiatric and boarding institutions by 2034 and developing border infrastructure with the European Union and Moldova by 2030.
'The strategy for reforming boarding institutions will allow the integration of vulnerable population categories into communities, enhancing their level of socialization. This is a key measure in the development of modern forms of social protection and building an inclusive society. The development of border infrastructure will simplify population mobility and improve interaction with our European partners, as well as strengthen Ukraine's position as a key transit corridor,' said Oleksiy Sobolev, First Deputy Minister of Economy.
Measures in the Ukraine Plan approved by the government:
1. Strategy for reforming psychiatric, boarding institutions and deinstitutionalization of care for adults with disabilities and older persons by 2034. An operational action plan for 2025-2027 has been approved. The document envisages the development of social services and support for people with increased needs to ensure their ability to live independently in the community and prevent institutionalization.
2. Strategy for the development and construction of border infrastructure with the European Union and Moldova by 2030. It is planned to reconstruct checkpoints on the border with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, create service areas, and simplify border crossing procedures using digital technologies and the introduction of joint control in accordance with European Union standards.
