Ukrainians will receive assistance from the EU: funds will go for food, housing, water, healthcare, and heating.

The European Union has announced the allocation of 148 million euros for humanitarian projects in Ukraine and for Ukrainian refugees in Moldova.
'The aggressive war of Russia continues to impact Ukraine, where about 12.7 million people need immediate assistance. The new funding from the European Commission will be used to provide such vital aid and to ensure it reaches the most vulnerable populations in Ukraine. The new funding of 148 million euros will continue humanitarian support for the Ukrainian population and also for the population of Moldova, and the total amount of humanitarian assistance from the European Commission is quite substantial - over 1.1 billion euros', - said the European Commission in a statement.
According to the EC, 140 million euros will be directed to humanitarian projects in Ukraine.
'This funding will be used to provide emergency assistance, including food, housing, clean water, healthcare, and protection from winter. The main priority is to support vulnerable groups in areas of eastern and southern Ukraine heavily affected by the war', - the European Commission reported.
Additionally, 8 million euros will be allocated for humanitarian projects in Moldova.
'Support will focus on helping Ukrainian refugees and Moldovan communities hosting these refugees. Priority will be given to financial assistance, access to critical services such as healthcare and education, as well as psychosocial support', - explained the European Commission.
