Ukrainians can receive money for children's education: who is entitled to payments.

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine has explained how to receive compensation for the education of veterans' children in higher educational institutions.
This program is part of an experimental project approved by Cabinet Resolution No. 318 dated March 14, 2025.
Who is eligible for compensation
Compensation is provided to children of fallen defenders, persons with disabilities due to military actions, participants in the war, missing persons, individuals imprisoned as a result of Russian aggression, and affected participants of the Revolution of Dignity.
“Compensation will be provided in the 2024/25 or 2025/26 academic year to students of higher education institutions - citizens of Ukraine,” the Ministry of Veterans reported.
How to obtain compensation
To obtain compensation, one must check whether the educational institution participates in the project, submit the relevant documents, confirm this using the 'Dія' application, and wait for the funds to be transferred to the educational institution's account.
Educational institutions that wish to join the program must sign a contract with the Ministry of Veterans and have a license and registration in the EDEBO. They must ensure the full cost of education and regularly report on the use of funds.
“Funds will be transferred directly to the account of the educational institution,” the Ministry of Veterans noted.
More information about signing a contract with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs can be found on the official website in the section 'Experimental project for providing state assistance for education'.
New deductions for graduate students are also planned in Ukraine in June.
