In North Carolina, a man nearly died from the revenge of his girlfriend, who locked him in a storage unit for four days without food or water. The woman is charged with attempted murder and kidnapping. This news was reported by the publication USA Today.
According to Monroe police, 52-year-old Robin Deaton from Matthews lured her husband into her storage unit on February 20, 2025. She locked him in and said, 'This is what you deserve.'
The man had his phone with him but dropped it in shock. He spent four days in darkness, searching for a way to communicate. Finally, at the last moment, he was able to call for help and was rescued. The man was hospitalized for severe dehydration and was on the brink of death. After treatment, he was released home on Monday.
The woman was arrested on Wednesday, February 26, in Charlotte and placed in jail. She is charged with attempted murder and kidnapping.
