According to a report by Bloomberg, at least six fighters of the Russian private military company 'Wagner' were killed in Mali. The attack was claimed by the JNIM group, which is linked to the terrorist organization 'Al-Qaeda'.
On November 21, militants approached the 'Wagner' convoy in central Mali and ambushed it. Several fighters were killed, and their vehicles were destroyed.
The fact of the attack was confirmed by an employee of the Malian security service.
In July, rebels from the Tuareg movement CSP-PSD successfully attacked a group of 'Wagner' mercenaries and soldiers of the Malian junta in the city of Tinzaouten. Fighting lasted for two days, and the rebels captured armored vehicles, trucks, and tanks.
