TikTok announced the implementation of new security measures ahead of the presidential elections in Romania. These measures are scheduled for May 4 and 18. According to 'Glavcom' citing Euractiv, TikTok will create an electoral center led by a working group consisting of experts in cybersecurity, deceptive practices, misinformation, and election integrity.

Currently, ultra-right candidate George Simion is considered the favorite in the first round of the presidential elections in Romania.
