I will not let my son go to the army. Rivne Military Enlistment Office commented on the controversial statement of the lieutenant colonel.

The head of the Dubno District Military Enlistment Office spoke about the war and mobilization
Yuriy Kovaluk, head of the Second Department of the Dubno District Military Enlistment Office, expressed his attitude towards the situation with the war and mobilization in Ukraine. He believes that our country has suffered initial losses due to underestimating human resources and mistakes in management. Kovaluk shared his experience and perspective on the war situation in an interview with the publication 'Chyetverta Vlada'.
The head of the Military Enlistment Office also stated that he will not allow his son to serve in the army since he has already graduated from university and is waiting for his fiancée to finish her studies. He also reminded of the 'Contract 18-24' program, which allows young people to sign a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, he warned that the brigades working under contracts have a very low level of personnel.
The Rivne Regional Military Enlistment Office commented on Kovaluk's statements, noting that they could harm the country's defense capabilities and may be motivated by personal circumstances or fatigue from service. They also do not rule out other motives that could explain Yuriy Kovaluk's position.
It is worth noting that Yuriy Kovaluk has significant combat experience, received awards for his service, and participated in battles for Ilovaisk and Savur-Mohyla. He also leads battalions of Territorial Defense Forces, and his elder daughter also serves in the Armed Forces under contract.
In his position regarding the situation with the war and mobilization, Yuriy Kovaluk expressed his opinion and views. His statements sparked discussion and reaction from other organizations. However, it is important to remember that everyone has the right to their own opinion and to express their position.
