The court sentenced the law enforcement officer to prison for a traffic accident that killed three soldiers.


The Kryvyi Rih District Court examined the case against a law enforcement officer accused of causing a traffic accident resulting in the death of three people. The court ruled to convict the man to 12 years of imprisonment. This information was provided by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Attorney General of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the convicted individual was behind the wheel after consuming narcotic substances in February 2023. While overtaking on the road from Mykolaiv to Kryvyi Rih, he veered into the oncoming lane and collided with a VAZ 2104 vehicle. As a result of this traffic accident, three soldiers were killed - the driver and two passengers of the car.
The court found the man guilty of violating traffic safety rules as a person operating a vehicle under the influence, leading to the deaths of three individuals (part 4 of article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Traffic Accident in Kyiv
Yesterday, in the Obolon district of Kyiv, a public transport bus collided with a parked Mercedes Benz truck. This traffic incident occurred yesterday on Dniprodvorske Street, according to preliminary police reports.
Considering these situations, it can be concluded that violating traffic safety rules and using narcotic substances while driving can have tragic consequences. Drivers must always understand their responsibility and adhere to traffic rules to avoid such situations and not jeopardize the lives of other road users.
