SBU detained 12 people who distributed checkpoint locations online.

The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed individuals who were publishing locations of the checkpoints of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, administrators and contributors of Viber and Telegram channels that disseminated this information have been identified. A total of 12 such individuals were uncovered.
In Prykarpattia, the SBU blocked the activities of 10 residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region who managed anonymous groups in Viber. Through these groups, locations of mobile checkpoints of the Armed Forces and law enforcement officers were being spread. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a former restaurateur and owner of a Telegram channel, who urged his audience to avoid conscription and assist evaders, was discovered. He is suspected of creating a separate chatbot that received information about the movement of Armed Forces representatives.
In Lviv region, a local resident was exposed and informed of suspicion for exposing information about Ukrainian military personnel, particularly representatives of the Armed Forces. He administered an anonymous group in Viber. Law enforcement managed to gather evidence against six individuals. It is planned to inform other persons involved in criminal actions against Ukraine of suspicion. Relevant accountability is provided, including up to 8 years of imprisonment.
Against the background of increasing cases of spreading false information about mobilization in Ukraine, law enforcement agencies have begun conducting investigations. Individuals spreading fake messages may also be held accountable. In particular, MP Oleksandr Fediyenko stated that if the owners of Telegram channels sending summonses cannot be found, users will be punished.
