Restaurant of Ukrainian cuisine entered the prestigious Michelin Guide for the first time in history.

Restaurant "Anelya" in Chicago, which offers Ukrainian cuisine, became the first food establishment to be included in the Michelin Guide. Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko announced this on Instagram.
According to Klopotenko, this restaurant was opened by a chef with Ukrainian roots and named after his grandmother, who lived in Kharkiv. In 2023, he visited the Kharkiv region.
«Now this restaurant has become the first of its kind to be included in the Michelin Guide. (Ukrainians are still fighting for it to be recognized as Ukrainian, not "Eastern European"). But it is very cool», - emphasized Klopotenko.
In addition, the chef said that initially the "Anelya" restaurant was an experimental project to cook Ukrainian dishes to raise funds for humanitarian aid to the residents of the Kharkiv region.
«But then Johnny (the owner) decided to create a full-scale Ukrainian restaurant, which instantly became successful», - Klopotenko wrote on social media.
In the final section of his post, the chef noted that supporting Ukraine and promoting Ukrainian culture is always a good idea.
