Poland has started its presidency in the European Council: what are Warsaw's priorities.

From January 1 to June 30, 2025, Poland has begun its presidency in the European Council. One of Warsaw's main tasks is to strengthen European security in the context of geopolitical conflicts.
The presidency in the EU Council was handed over to Poland by Hungary during the ministerial meetings of the EU from the beginning of the year until December 31, 2024.
The Polish side's statement about the priorities of their activities in the European Council indicates restless and uncertain times for Europe. It also emphasizes the need to protect the EU and its citizens, as well as caring for the closest neighbors.
Poland is committed to enhancing European security in various aspects such as external, internal, information, economic, energy, food, and health security.
