Politico learns whether the US is ready to lift restrictions on strikes against Russia.

The US is completing a plan to ease restrictions on the use of weapons by Ukraine to strike at Russia.
According to Politico, these negotiations were conducted in close contact with a small group of officials at the White House.
The details of the plan are still being finalized, but officials in Washington, London, and Kyiv have discussed expanding the territory inside Russia that Ukraine can strike with American and British-made weapons.
It is also planned to prevent additional cross-border attacks from Russia, including allowing the use of British long-range missiles containing American components by Ukraine for strikes inside Russia.
Politico notes that these negotiations indicate a change in tone in relations between Washington and Kyiv compared to initial talks this summer.
"This signals that the Biden administration may finally be willing to agree to Kyiv's request to allow the Ukrainian army to defend itself more strongly and take more aggressive actions inside Russia," the article reports.
Earlier it was reported that the US is demanding a detailed plan from Zelensky before allowing "distant" strikes against Russia.
