Drivers in Ukraine have begun to be fined for violating parking rules for the disabled
The press service of the Kyiv Patrol Police reported that they have started fining drivers who violate the rules regarding parking spaces for the disabled. Some drivers ignore the signs indicating such places and occupy them with their cars. Therefore, police are conducting raids and applying strict measures against offenders to hold them accountable.
'We have had preventive talks with drivers who violated these rules to ensure similar cases do not happen in the future and have compiled the appropriate administrative materials on them,' the police said.
Drivers were reminded that a fine of 1020 to 1700 hryvnias is imposed for stopping or parking in spaces for the disabled. The 'Parking Space' sign is used to mark such places for vehicles, while the sign 'Persons with Disabilities' indicates spaces marked with the recognizable sign 'Driver with Disability.'
The police urged drivers to be mutual and not violate traffic rules.
