Obtaining pensions by internally displaced persons: an important restriction has been lifted.

Internally displaced persons can receive pensions and insurance payments through any bank
The Ukrainian government has made a decision that allows internally displaced persons to receive pensions and insurance payments through any bank of their choice. A new decree (No. 299) has come into force since March 20, 2025. Previously, displaced persons could only receive pensions and insurance payments through Oschadbank, but this restriction has been lifted. To change the bank for receiving the pension, one must submit an application to the Pension Fund with the chosen bank and account details. The application can be submitted in person at the Pension Fund service center or online through the personal account on the electronic services portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. This rule facilitates access to banking services and expands financial opportunities for displaced persons.
