President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Silina on Tuesday, July 15. During the meeting, they discussed defense support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the head of state on Telegram.
Met with the Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Silina. It is very symbolic that this meeting took place on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood. Thank you for this gesture, a sign of solidarity with our people.
Zelensky also noted that they discussed defense support for Ukrainian soldiers and its financing through European instruments, particularly within the framework of SAFE. In addition, talks addressed drones, Euro-integration, and the opening of negotiation clusters. The President expressed gratitude to the people and government of Latvia for their assistance and the new defense package that strengthens the Ukrainian army.
It should be noted that earlier the Prime Minister of Latvia called for not weakening attention to Russia's war against Ukraine and for increasing sanctions pressure on the Kremlin.
During the meeting with the Prime Minister of Latvia, the President of Ukraine discussed the issue of defense support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, expressed gratitude for the solidarity and assistance to the Ukrainian army.
