Attack of Russian UAVs and Drones on Ukraine
On the night of November 16, Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Shahed type and unidentified drones attacked Ukraine. The strike was repelled, but 53 drones were shot down by air defense systems (ADS), reported the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of November 16, 2024 (from 20:30 on November 15), the enemy struck Kharkiv region with a guided missile from the S-300, attacking with 83 Shahed-type UAVs and unidentified drones from the areas of Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - RF
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of the counteraction of the ADS, 53 enemy UAVs were shot down in various regions of Ukraine, including Cherkasy, Odesa, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and others.
As a result of active counteraction by the Defense Forces, 30 enemy UAVs were locally lost in various regions of Ukraine
Recall that in Kyiv, an enemy drone hit a high-rise building, damaging balconies and windows of the residential building.
As a result of the air attack by Russian Armed Forces drones in the Obolon district of the capital, damage to residential infrastructure was recorded. Due to the fall of debris in a high-rise residential building, balconies and windows were damaged. No information regarding a possible fire has been received. There are no data on casualties.
Moreover, as a result of the shelling, one of the two power lines of the Zaporizhzhia NPP was disconnected. Currently, the station is connected to the Ukrainian energy system by only one power transmission line.
