The youngest son of the warrior was born five months after his father's death. Let's remember Valeriy Skrypka.

Grenadier Valeriy Skrypka died on March 19, 2022, from injuries sustained while defending Kyiv region. This information was reported by Glavkom, referencing the Memory Platform 'Memorial'.
Valeriy Skrypka was born on November 17, 1977, in Kyiv. After finishing school, he studied at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Eastern Ukraine as part of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He was a grenadier and fought at the Svitlodarsk bulge and in other areas of ATO/OOS. His comrades remember him as a cheerful and energetic person, a good friend, and a reliable mate.
After returning from the front, he worked to support his family. At the end of 2021, he learned that his wife was expecting their second child.
On February 23, 2022, a recruitment of reservists was announced. Skrypka planned to return to his comrades in the 54th Brigade. However, the next day, a full-scale war began, and he was assigned to the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians, which participated in the defense of Kyiv region.
Valeriy Skrypka died on March 19, 2022, during the defense of Kyiv region. He was wounded by shrapnel during a battle near the village of Moshchun in Bucha district of Kyiv region.
Valeriy was buried at Berkovetske Cemetery in Kyiv.
He is survived by his wife Natalia and two sons: Oleksandr and Damir. The youngest son was born five months after his father's death.
Valeriy Skrypka was awarded the Order of 'For Courage' III degree (2022, posthumously) for courage and dedication in the struggle for the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
