Ministry of Defense: Ukraine proposes to finance defense industry projects with frozen Russian assets.

Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration Serhiy Boyev and the Director for Security and Defense Policy of the European External Action Service Maciej Stadejka discussed EU initiatives to support Ukraine and programs to strengthen European defense capabilities.
The Ukrainian side informed the delegation of the European External Action Service about the needs that remain relevant in light of changes in international support - air and missile defense systems, interceptor missiles for them, multiple rocket launchers, weapons for aircraft, and ammunition of various calibers.
A separate topic of discussion was the steps to build a European security strategy and its components. The development of the defense industry is an important component in building capabilities - European partners need to produce more products from defense enterprises.
The Ukrainian defense industry is ready to integrate into the European ecosystem to exchange experiences and enhance joint capabilities.
The use of revenues from frozen Russian assets remains relevant - Ukraine has projects in the defense industry that it proposes to finance through these revenues. In particular, Serhiy Boyev emphasized the importance of confiscating Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine.
Maciej Stadejka, in turn, informed about the stage of processing initiatives by the EU regarding increasing military assistance to Ukraine. Previously, the EU High Representative, Kaia Kalas, spoke about the possibility of providing a military assistance package of 20 billion euros to close critical needs for strengthening defense capabilities.
