Almost Hi-Fi: lifecell improves VoLTE calls for subscribers.

The mobile operator lifecell has announced the implementation of a new voice codec EVS (Enhanced Voice Services), which will improve call quality on the VoLTE network. This codec will allow subscribers to enjoy higher sound quality with ultra-wideband audio and a frequency range of up to 20 kHz.
In addition, the EVS codec ensures efficient use of a bitrate from 5 to 128 kbps, providing high voice quality even at low data transmission speeds. Moreover, thanks to modern error correction algorithms, the stability of voice communication is significantly improved even in poor signal conditions.
“Now conversations will sound almost at Hi-Fi level!” - stated lifecell.
At lifecell, they emphasize that continuous improvement of technologies is a response to the growing expectations of subscribers. Requests for such solutions have increased by 17% compared to the previous year.
This text describes the implementation of the new EVS voice codec by the mobile operator lifecell. The use of this codec will improve sound quality during VoLTE calls, ensuring rich and detailed sound. The new technology also efficiently utilizes bitrate and ensures stability of voice communication even with weak or unstable signals.
