Kobe Bryant's jersey, in which he debuted for the Lakers, was sold for $7 million.

A game jersey of Kobe Bryant was sold at Sotheby's auction in New York for 7 million dollars. This jersey was used in the 1996-1997 season when Bryant made his debut for the 'Los Angeles Lakers'.
This jersey became the fourth most valuable among other game jerseys sold at auction. The top three places were occupied by Babe Ruth's jersey from the 1932 World Series, Michael Jordan's jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals, and Diego Maradona's jersey from the Argentina national team.
This sale also broke the record for the amount paid for a game jersey signed by Bryant from the 2007-2008 season.
Kobe Bryant died together with his daughter and others in a helicopter crash in January 2020. He was known as a five-Time NBA champion.
