Reports on social media indicate that a detained laboratory technician from Ivan Franko Lviv National University was found with serious injuries near Kyiv. It is reported that the man was detained by TCC representatives, forced to undergo a military medical examination, and was found on the roadside near Kyiv with a fractured skull and brain swelling. The victim's condition is critical.
The laboratory technician was abducted near the Stryi market
The detained laboratory technician's name is Stepan Bilchenko. He was abducted by TCC representatives near the Stryi market while heading to work at the university. He conducted practical and laboratory classes for students at the Department of Nuclear Physics.
Forced military medical examination without proper medical review
According to witnesses, the man was forced to undergo a military medical examination in two hours without proper medical review. The commission refused to examine him, stating that he was healthy, and forced him to sign a document indicating that he arrived by invitation at 19:00.
The victim's condition is critical
Currently, the lecturer has been diagnosed with brain swelling, a fractured base of the skull, and a hematoma. Stepan Bilchenko is in critical condition.
TCC responds to accusations
The TCC claims that citizen Bilchenko was not registered for military service, was called up for service, and passed the commission. They urge not to manipulate this topic and to deal only with facts.
As for the circumstances of the injury of the Lviv university employee, responsible persons have so far provided limited information. Recall that a recent explosion occurred near the TCC in Ukraine.
