Lubenovich left 'Vorskla': the reason is threats

Last summer there was a surprising dismissal of the head coach of the Poltava team 'Vorskla', Zjelko Lubenovich. The Serbian specialist led the team for only 17 days.

In his interview for 'Tribuna', Lubenovich expressed his surprise at the pressure from agents attempting to force him to sign certain players. The coach confirmed that he received real threats from individuals who brought him to the club. 'The agents who brought me to the club began to threaten, indicating who I should take and who I shouldn't. I approached the management, but unfortunately, the situation didn't change, so I decided to leave the country', Lubenovich said.

According to Zjelko, due to the threats he received, he returned to Serbia.

The coach did not name the agent he considered decent due to a long-term acquaintance, but he does not plan to contact UAF and is worried about possible consequences. Lubenovich also denied information that his departure was related to a lack of players or a transfer ban on 'Vorskla', blaming journalist Volodymyr Kramar.

As a result of the public disclosure of the threats, Lubenovich left his position at 'Vorskla' and returned to his native Serbia due to pressure from agents trying to influence the team lineup.
