Canadian company plans to start iron ore mining in Kryvyi Rih.


Canadian company receives permits for ore mining in Kryvyi Rih
The Canadian mining company Black Iron Inc., which has assets in Ukraine, has begun the process of obtaining permits for iron ore mining in Kryvyi Rih. According to the company, it is planned to extract ore in the northern part of the Shymanivske mine.
The dimensions of the mine will be 660 m by 390 m and will have a depth of 80 m. It is planned to extract 4.5 million tons of ore annually, with a total volume of 5.13 million cubic meters.
The company is also working on the Shymanivske iron ore project and negotiating with the government regarding the conclusion of an investment agreement. However, the main issue remains obtaining the land owned by the Ministry of Defense. The company has already signed an agreement for compensation for this land with the ministry.
In addition, Black Iron Inc. is considering other possible projects.
