Verification of a new account in Google using a Russian mobile number is now impossible, Russian media report. The system allows you to take all the necessary steps to create an account, but does not accept Russian numbers for email verification. This feature was removed from some services that left Russia, but is still available in Google for now.
Russian authorities seized more than $100 million from Google to fund pro-Russian media. In addition, Google's AdSense contextual advertising service is closing its operations in the Russian internet and disabling user accounts from Russia.
