Expert suggested a way to avoid rolling blackouts this winter.

Ukraine is facing a problem of electricity shortage again
Ukraine is facing a problem of electricity shortage again, which may lead to power outages. However, experts see opportunities to solve this problem.
According to energy expert Volodymyr Omelyan, the situation has significantly worsened due to the repairs of power plants and cold weather.
'Today, a situation has arisen where there is again a shortage of electricity due to the repair of some power plants and cold weather,' the expert noted on November 13.
Omelyan also emphasized that the ENTSO-E association increased the quota for Ukraine by 400 MW, but only 20% of this quota is being used.
'Some businessmen expect that initially the population will be limited so they do not have to import electricity,' the expert emphasized.
The expert sees that it is necessary to limit businesses first, those that can but do not want to import electricity. This will create a real incentive for businesses to choose the import quota, and for the country to avoid or minimize power outages in winter.
Recall that the expert previously identified 5 regions of Ukraine with the highest risk of electricity outages in winter.
