Research shows what young Ukrainians do in Poland.

Ukrainian conscripts are working in Poland
According to the research, Ukrainian conscripts hold certain positions in Poland. Currently, about 780 thousand citizens of Ukraine work in Poland, of which more than 406 thousand are men. The largest age group among Ukrainian workers is people aged 30 to 44, who are a key part of the workforce from Ukraine. The conscription in Ukraine due to military duty prevents Ukrainian men from returning home, so they find work in Poland to provide for their families. Most of them work in construction, agriculture, services, and transportation.
Ukrainian conscripted men who have received temporary protection in Poland cannot return to Ukraine due to military duty. For them, working in Poland has become a way to provide for their families.
Many Ukrainian workers hold positions that require physical effort but do not necessarily require high qualifications. Despite the temporary nature of such work, it is of great significance for the Polish economy, which faces a labor shortage. A significant percentage of Ukrainian workers are men, which meets the needs of Polish employers.
There is also a growing number of older Ukrainians working in highly qualified fields such as information technology, healthcare, and education. Some of them participate in volunteer activities and work in humanitarian organizations. This activity of Ukrainian workers has a dual benefit: it contributes to the economic development of Poland and helps Ukrainians achieve financial stability while they cannot return to their homeland after the conflict ends.
