The opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games began today, August 11, at 22:00 Kyiv Time in Paris, France. This is the first open-air opening in history, while the closing ceremony is planned at the Stade de France stadium.

More than one hundred performers will take part in this event, including acrobats, dancers, and circus artists. It is expected that famous singers such as Billie Eilish, Snoop Dog, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Air, as well as other stars of the American and French music industries, will perform.
Viewers will see impressive decorations, costumes, and lighting effects that will take them on a journey through time. The closing ceremony will feature a spectacular parachute jump by famous American actor and director Tom Cruise. The ceremony will also be shown on several TV channels.
Ukraine will be represented at the closing ceremony by champions Parviz Nasibov and Liudmyla Luzan, who won silver medals at these Games. The Summer Olympic Games were held in Paris and 16 other cities in France, as well as on the island of Tahiti. A new record was set as there were equal numbers of male and female participants at these Games. The cost of these Games was 8.3 billion euros.
