Britain Returns to European Diplomacy: Starmer to Participate in Macron's Summit.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to attend an emergency summit of European leaders hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Starmer believes this is a crucial moment for national security, given the real threats posed by Russia. He emphasizes the importance of a greater role for Europe in NATO and the cohesion of the U.S. and Europe in combating enemies. Starmer calls for a focus on external threats and avoiding divisions within the alliance.
The publication notes that Starmer's participation in the summit highlights the active stance of Britain in the European response to challenges, despite the country's exit from the EU. It also states that Russian and American officials will hold a meeting in Saudi Arabia to discuss the peace process.
European sources are seriously concerned that the U.S. president may not pay attention to future agreements and the security of Ukraine. British Foreign Secretary David Lammy asserts that there must be guarantees and the ability to respond to any violations of the agreement by Russia.
Lammy also urges the U.S. not to turn away from Ukraine and underscores the significance of connecting American industry, business, and defense capabilities with the country's future. He believes this may draw attention from Vladimir Putin and promote a favorable agreement.
