The Russian troops inflicted damage on the territory of the Odesa Film Studio on the night of June 10. This film studio is a true cultural treasure, which has entered the history of Ukrainian cinema and national culture. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the State Agency of Ukraine for Film.
«The Odesa Film Studio is a special place where the history of Ukrainian cinema began, where masterpieces of our culture were created. This cultural center is a symbol of Ukrainian identity, a furnace of creativity that deserves recognition not only within our country,» the message says.
Damage from the missile strike
As a result of the missile strike, part of the film studio's filming complex was damaged, including decorations for the film 'Dovzhenko' and gaming transport. The press service emphasizes that this is not just material losses, but also an attempt to destroy cultural values and traditions that have accumulated over centuries.
Attack on Odesa
As a result of the night drone attack on Odesa, two people were killed and another nineteen were injured. The attack was carried out using more than 10 drones, causing significant damage in the city. In addition to human casualties, the blood transfusion station, maternity hospital, and the administrative building of the emergency medical service station were damaged.
Interestingly, on the same day, the enemy hit Kyiv with strike drones, resulting in one woman being killed during the shelling of civilian objects in the capital of Ukraine.
The Odesa Film Studio, which is one of the key symbols of Ukrainian cinema and cultural heritage, came under fire from Russian troops, resulting in severe damage and losses. Attacks on targeted objects and the civilian population violate not only international laws but also threaten the unique cultural values of the entire world.
The Ukrainian film studio is under fire from hostile criticism. Sharp attacks on the national cultural heritage and art objects indicate attempts to politicize the sphere of culture in a conflict zone. The attacks and damages caused in this context provoke outrage and condemnation from both the Ukrainian and international communities.
